Summer Balm – Tallow-Based Natural Sun Protection

Our Summer Balm is a simple, effective, and nourishing way to shield your skin from harmful UV rays—made with just three ingredients and no synthetic chemicals. At the heart of this balm is grass-fed beef tallow, rendered from suet raised on our own family farm. Tallow is naturally rich in vitamins A, D, E, and K, as well as essential fatty acids that deeply nourish, repair, and moisturize the skin.

Tallow alone offers mild sun protection, but we’ve enhanced the formula by adding 20% non-nano zinc oxide, a safe and effective mineral that provides broad-spectrum UV protection. Zinc oxide sits on the skin’s surface and reflects sunlight, creating a physical barrier that helps prevent sun damage. Combined, these ingredients offer a clean alternative to conventional sunscreens, suitable for all ages and skin types.

Our balm is whipped into a smooth, creamy texture for easy application. Because we use natural oils and fats, reapplication is recommended every 45 minutes to an hour—especially after swimming or sweating.

Note on Heat Exposure:
In warmer climates or during shipping in hot months, the balm may soften, become grainy, or lose its whipped texture. This is normal and does not affect the product’s quality. To restore the original texture, cool in the fridge and re-whip if desired.
