A tallow-based sun block is the perfect way to shield your skin from UV while also getting all the nourishing benefits of tallow. Our Summer Balm is made from pastured beef suet, we raise here on our family farm, loaded with Vitamins and Fatty Acids that are essential for skin health, repair, and locking in moisture. Tallow alone acts as a sun-block and by adding non-nano zinc oxide (20%) to our Summer Balm we increase the UV protection as zinc oxide creates a longer lasting protective layer scattering UV as it hits your skin. By using natural ingredients our Summer Balm is great for all ages and skin types. Like many other natural sun-blocks, its recommended to reapply every 45 minutes/1 hour or as needed.

Heat Exposure
*Whipped Tallow can change in texture if it is exposed to heat. Be aware of this when it comes to shipping in hotter months and climate areas. This product will not "go bad" in the heat but may change the texture of the "whip" into a denser balm, and may become "grainy" do to the tallow crystalizing as it sets back up to slowly. It can easily be cooled quickly in the fridge and then whipped again at home to bring back the original texture!

Does not feel heavy like regular sunscreen. A little goes a long way, using it as my morning moisturizer
Loving this all natural sun block product. Rubs in easily leaving no oily residue nor does it leave your skin chalky white. Could maybe use some kind of scent.
It blends in very easily and absorbs so well. We love it!
I love how simple the Summer Balm is. Only using a few natural ingredients and still working to block the sun. I used it on my kids and myself and never got burned, we did have to reapply it every 45 minutes or so, but that's to be expected with any natural sunscreen that does have chemicals in it that lock onto your skin. A little bit goes a long way so reapplying wasn't an issue for us! Will for sure be buying this again next spring/summer!
It applied like butter and worked as well. My forehead and nose were sunburned after 2 days of use. I gave the product away to someone else willing to try it.
